Heat is one of your hair’s worst enemies. It’s unavoidable to maintain today’s hair styles, but when using a blow dryer, be sure to use the coolest setting to minimize any heat damage. Be sure not to leave the blowdryer in one spot on your hair for more than a few seconds. You want to keep moving around, drying a little at a time. Keep the hair dryer a good distance away from your hair to protect itand gently use your fingers or a pick to untangle any knots while your hair is drying. To minimize the time you are using the blow dryer on your hair, be sure to get as much of the moisture out with a towel first. This doesn’t mean vigorously rubbing your head and hair, but patting your hair with the towel thoroughly. If you have time, let your hair air dry a little while before applying the blow dryer.
